Cultivate the Future

Our goal this month is to raise $175,000 to Cultivate the Future. Among other things, we will:

• Provide seeds, tools, and training for students, teachers and parents to support the Model Farms and School Feeding programs.
• Provide supplies and training to Student Clubs as they plant 20,000 trees and learn new skills like soap making.
• Complete Water Projects for use in latrines, watering crops, washing hands, and cooking.

Studies show that students who eat at school concentrate better and learn more. Thanks to community contributions, your support, and PZ staff, over 70,000 meals were served last year. There is a lot more to do. Within the next two years, we expect each Model School student to eat one meal a day - that’s 570,000 meals per year. You can help!

Esther Simba is a student at Kambarage Primary School. Before the school feeding program, she shared that she had to walk a long distance to get home in the middle of the day for lunch. It’s no surprise that on many days, she’d return to school late or did not return at all. Your support will mean that students like Esther will soon eat every day at school.
