5th Annual Benefit Run by Access 2 Tanzania
Celebrating 25 Years of Project Zawadi!
At Access 2 Tanzania, we are more than colleagues. We are a team. We travel together, solve problems together, celebrate together — and once a year, we run together.
Each year, our guides and office staff participate in the Kilimanjaro Marathon to raise funds for Project Zawadi’s education programs in Tanzania. This year is especially meaningful as Project Zawadi celebrates 25 years of investing in students, schools, and leadership across the Mara Region.
Where Your Support Will Go:
This year, the Access 2 Tanzania team chose to support Project Zawadi’s School Farms & Meals Program.
As one guide shared, “When you are hungry, the brain stops working.”
Many students walk long distances to school and cannot realistically return home for lunch. For some children, the meal at school is the only reliable meal of the day. Providing nutritious food improves concentration, increases attendance, strengthens health, and gives every child a fair chance to succeed.
Good education begins with good nutrition.
A New Twist This Year:
In past years, teams competed against each other. This year, we are working together toward one shared goal: $50,000.
That means every member of the Access 2 Tanzania team (guides and office staff) will receive a bonus* based on how much we raise together:
- $20,000 raised → $50 bonus for every team member
- $30,000 raised → $100 bonus
- $40,000 raised → $150 bonus
- $50,000 raised → $200 bonus
When we succeed together, everyone benefits. The top three guides who inspire the most giving will earn an extra bonus — please dedicate your donation to track this friendly competition.
The Kilimanjaro Marathon takes place on March 22, 2026, and this campaign will remain open through March 31, 2026.
Want to donate by check? Mail it to Project Zawadi, 253 Duke Street, Saint Paul, MN 55102.
*All bonuses will be underwritten by Access 2 Tanzania.
